CertBox is now a single web app. It does everything the desktop version did, including working offline, and it is always up to date.
Open CertBox in Chrome or Edge and choose Install CertBox from the address bar. On a Mac, use Safari’s Share menu and Add to Dock. It gets its own window and icon, exactly like the old app.
Open CertBoxOffline was the main reason the desktop app existed. The web app now caches your certificates and saves your work locally when you lose signal on site, then syncs when you are back in range.
If you already installed the old desktop app, please remove it and use the web app instead. It was last built in March 2026 and no longer matches the current version of CertBox.
