RGI Declaration of Conformance (CERT 2)

An RGI CERT 2 is the Irish Declaration of Conformance for a boiler replacement on an existing gas installation that already has a meter fitted, issued under I.S. 813. It records the removal of the old boiler and the installation and commissioning of the new one, including flue gas analysis, tightness test, and the safe-to-use status of the appliance. It is issued by an RGI-registered installer whenever a domestic gas boiler is replaced in Ireland. What is an RGI CERT 2 used for?
A CERT 2 is the Declaration of Conformance issued when a gas boiler is replaced on an existing metered installation in Ireland. It records the commissioning of the new boiler (including flue gas analysis) and confirms the installation is safe to use. New installations needing a new meter use a CERT 1; servicing, repairs and other appliance work use a CERT 3.
