Looking for a SpeedCert alternative?
SpeedCert and CertBox both do certificates, quotes and invoices, and both work with no signal on site. For one engineer the monthly price is close: £10 for SpeedCert Pro and £14.99 for CertBox Pro. CertBox charges one flat price for the whole team, and every certificate carries a QR code anyone can scan to check it is genuine.

Why people switch
- One flat price for the whole team. SpeedCert adds £5 a month for each extra user.
- A QR on every certificate. Anyone can scan it to check it is the one you issued, and that nobody has changed it.
- Quotes, invoices and card payments are on the CertBox free plan.
- Pro comes with a 14-day free trial. SpeedCert’s trial is 7 days.
- Full data export any time; nothing is deleted if you downgrade.
Where SpeedCert is stronger
An honest comparison cuts both ways. Stay with SpeedCert if these matter to you:
- For one engineer, Pro is £10 a month against £14.99.
- The odd certificate costs £1, against £4.99 on CertBox.
- SpeedCert’s free plan includes a basic PDF export, where CertBox needs Pro or £4.99 to send a certificate.
- AI assistance, and SMS, email and WhatsApp messages in one inbox.
- A ServiceM8 integration on Pro.
- Apps in the App Store and on Google Play.
Switching takes an afternoon, not a weekend
1. Export your customers from SpeedCert as a CSV.
2. Import it in CertBox: Customers → Import CSV. Match your columns to ours: any export format works.
3. Or skip both steps: email the export to paddy@certbox.app and the founder sets your account up for you, usually within a day.
And if CertBox isn’t for you, everything exports back out. Read the CertBox data promise.
