The Gas Installation, Commissioning & Decommissioning Record (commonly known as Pad 17) is the official Gas Safe document for recording new gas appliance installations, commissioning of existing appliances, or decommissioning and removal of gas appliances.

A Gas Warning / Advice Notice is the formal document issued by a Gas Safe registered engineer when a gas appliance or installation is found to be unsafe.

A Gas Breakdown Service Record documents the attendance at a gas appliance breakdown, including fault diagnosis, repair work carried out, parts replaced, and post-repair safety checks.

A Central Heating Commissioning Certificate confirms that a complete central heating system has been commissioned, covering not just the boiler but the entire system including radiators, pipework, controls, pump, zone valves, and system flushing.

A Domestic Gas Testing & Purging Record documents the tightness testing and purging of domestic gas installations.

An OFTEC Installation Certificate confirms that an oil-fired heating appliance (boiler, range cooker, or AGA) has been installed by an OFTEC-registered technician in compliance with Building Regulations.

An Oil Appliance Service Record documents the annual service and inspection of oil-fired heating appliances — boilers, range cookers, and AGAs.

The CD/10 is OFTEC's official Oil Firing Installation Completion Report, issued when a new oil-fired appliance is installed.

The CD/12 is OFTEC's Landlord Oil Installation Safety Check Certificate, the oil equivalent of a CP12 gas safety record.

The CD/14 is OFTEC's official Oil Warning and Advice Notice, issued when an oil installation or appliance is found to be unsafe.

The TI/133D is OFTEC's Technical Information form for assessing whether a domestic oil storage tank needs secondary containment (bunding) and fire protection.

A Chimney Sweeping Certificate confirms that a chimney or flue has been swept and inspected by a qualified chimney sweep.

A Waste Transfer Note must accompany any transfer of controlled waste between parties.

A CP17 is a safety inspection report for an entire non-domestic gas installation.

A CP44 records the gas safety inspection of a mobile catering vehicle such as a food truck, burger van, or mobile coffee unit.

A CP2 is used for gas safety checks on leisure accommodation including static caravans, touring caravans, park homes, boats, and motorhomes.

A CP43 documents a risk assessment for gas flues passing through voids such as ceiling spaces, floor cavities, or service risers.

A CP26 is completed when a Gas Safe registered engineer investigates a report of gas fumes or carbon monoxide in a property.

A CP3 records the commissioning of a new or replacement chimney or flue for a gas appliance.

A CP4 is a gas safety inspection record used for domestic properties where a full landlord CP12 is not required.

A CP9 is a visual risk assessment of a gas appliance where the engineer cannot carry out a full safety check, for example due to restricted access or the appliance being sealed.

An Electrical Installation Certificate (EIC) is issued when new electrical work is completed, such as a new circuit, consumer unit replacement, or rewire.

A Sound Insulation Test Certificate records the measured sound insulation performance of walls and floors between dwellings.

A SAP (Standard Assessment Procedure) or RDSAP (Reduced Data SAP) assessment calculates the energy performance of a dwelling.

An EV Charging Point Installation Certificate confirms that an electric vehicle charger has been installed safely and in compliance with BS 7671 (IET Wiring Regulations) and IET Code of Practice for EV Charging.

A Data Cabling Installation Certificate confirms that structured cabling (Cat5e, Cat6, Cat6a, fibre optic) has been installed and tested to the relevant standards.

A Lightning Protection Test Certificate records the results of testing a lightning protection system (LPS) in accordance with BS EN 62305.

An Electrical Danger Notice is a formal warning document issued when dangerous electrical conditions are found during an inspection or work.

A 3-Circuit Minor Electrical Installation Works Certificate extends the standard minor works certificate for jobs involving up to 3 circuits.

A Multiple Works Minor Electrical Installation Certificate covers multiple small electrical works recorded on a single certificate.

An Unvented Hot Water Storage Vessel Commissioning Record confirms that an unvented cylinder (such as a Megaflo, Heatrae Sadia, or OSO) has been installed and commissioned by a G3-qualified installer in accordance with Building Regulations Approved Document G3.

A Water Regulations Compliance Certificate confirms that plumbing work has been carried out in accordance with the Water Supply (Water Fittings) Regulations 1999.

A Fire Extinguisher Service Certificate confirms that portable fire extinguishers have been inspected, serviced, and maintained in accordance with BS 5306-3.

An MCS (Microgeneration Certification Scheme) Installation Certificate for Solar PV confirms that a photovoltaic panel system has been designed and installed by an MCS-certified installer in accordance with MCS standards, IET Code of Practice for Grid Connected Solar PV, and BS 7671.

An MCS Installation Certificate for Heat Pumps confirms that an air source or ground source heat pump has been designed and installed by an MCS-certified installer.

An Intruder Alarm Installation Certificate confirms that a burglar alarm system has been installed and commissioned in accordance with BS EN 50131 and PD 6662.

A CCTV System Installation Certificate confirms that a video surveillance system has been installed in accordance with BS EN 62676 and BS 8418 (for monitored systems).
